An A-Corp prototype you can play with

Hi friends. Sharing with you all here early something we're going to send out to the email list tomorrow...

As we've been working on drafts of the A-Corp law, we've been spending time exploring what our ideas will look like in practice.

This week we're excited to share a site we've vibecoded that's built on the text of the A-Corp draft as it currently stands. It also lays out the wider vision of what we're up to with A-Corps.

Areas worth especially checking out:

• The A-Corp registration process. You can click through to see each of the steps. You can also enter your data and save it at the end. (It won't create an A-Corp for you yet, of course.)
• The project calculator. Like a mortgage calculator for your creative practice. Input your revenue, royalties, IP, etc, then see its potential value. The methodology behind it is also super interesting.
• The cap-table calculator. See what your practice looks like with equity as an A-Corp. You can also see here one of the core pieces of the A-Corp law: at least 51%+ of voting shares must be owned and controlled by artists.
• The legal form comparison page. Detailed overview of how A-Corps differ from existing options.
